In an Australian study, it was found that in older men, their level of bone density was greatly helped more by exercise than by the consumption of extra Vit D and Calcium alone.
Over the 18 months that the study was conducted, those that exercised, had a better bone mineral density reading than those that just took the supplements. While this might be the case I would still recommend that everyone pay close attention to their diet and their levels of supplements to maintain an overall healthy out look.
